About

Quality engineering that speaks the language of the business process.

I'm a Microsoft-certified D365 Finance & Operations QA Lead with 13+ years across Dynamics AX 2009, AX 2012 and D365 F&O. I started as a test engineer, moved into functional consulting, and now lead QA for D365 implementations and products.

I plan test strategy, automate regression with RSAT, Tricentis Tosca and Playwright, keep releases on track through Microsoft's update cycle, and help QA engineers grow into functional SMEs.

In action · The RSAT agent I built

From an RSAT recording to ready-to-run automation

  1. Upload an existing RSAT project
  2. Understand: the agent works out the business process, rules and parameters
  3. Review the business model, then generate automation
  4. Download Playwright and Tosca packages, the business model and documentation

Approach

How I test a D365 project, start to finish

My focus is functional testing, backed by automation and AI. Each type of testing has its place in the project, so nothing important is left to the last week before go-live.

Approach · Microsoft updates

How I assess every Microsoft update

D365 updates arrive several times a year and install automatically. Every feature in the release notes gets a recorded decision, so testing is planned before the update lands, not after users find the problem.

1Review the featureRead the release notes and Feature Management state
2Does it apply to this customer? No → record "No testing required" with the reason
3Map to the business processUsing the customer's process catalogue
4Is it already tested?Yes → modify the test caseNo → create a new test case
5Add to the regression cycleWith a QA recommendation on record

Release content, reviewed by risk

HighEnhancementsTouch features already in use; check existing tests and UI changes first.
ReviewNew featuresUsually off by default; check how they interact with customisations.
Clean upRemoved featuresUpdate tests to the replacement path, or retire them with a recorded risk.

Client testimonials

Positive feedback from US and UK clients

I also want to thank you for the extraordinary work you have done along with your team in delivering the test cases in a very methodical way and in time for V45 testing.

Your approach, planning and delivery of the automation pack for the prioritised test cases is really commendable, and the amount of effort you put into each and every business process, going into minute details, is very impressive.

I wanted to send a message with a little praise for Sarvesh and [his junior colleague]. Since they started working with [us] they have really been integral in getting our regression testing suite up and running. During that time they have not only had to learn our IP, which can be complicated, but also learn the software Virtuoso, which we use for regression testing. Both of these things are no small feat and they went into it with great tenacity and focus.

They have both taken great initiative when it comes to making suggestions on our testing strategies as well, pushing for us to build a smoke testing plan as well as the optimization of our existing test plans. They are incredibly hard workers and have been valuable members of our team. Without their efforts, we would not be as far along in our regression testing journey.

Best Practices to Adopt for D365 F&O Automation Testing: How Top Retailers Are Winning with No-Code Automation

Why relying on manual testing for D365 F&O is a business risk, and how retailers use low-code and model-based automation to keep up with Microsoft updates, customisations and integrations.

  • Evergreen updates demand proactive testing
  • Customisations need end-to-end validation
  • Integration testing is often the biggest blind spot
  • Performance and stability belong in the test plan
  • Real ROI comes from business coverage and speed, not test volume
